Look what I found in the mail today (both)...

While at work, I was trying new blades for my Retractable Utility Knife, the brand shown in the RUK rates highly (I've tried many throughout the years and have my favorites). In a full sized Utility Knife it does everything a good Utility Blade should, but lacks significantly while using a mini RUK, understandably so but I've been trying several RUKS out as I move from place to place in our store and having one on me seemed liked a convenient plan to reduce trips to the warehouse. That said Charlie's Lambfoot simply out performs a Mini Utility blade hands down:)

I know all about the right tool for the job and for me when there's tons of cardboard to cut down I grab a full sized Utility Blade and NEVER have issues. I just found it interesting that this blade in the little RUK just seemed dull (new blade) and it really wasn't, but boils down to math (leverage and all that);)o_O

Paul, I find the disadvantage with the box cutter blades is they are so short you are stuck with push cutting on things like cardboard. When the blade gets dull you can't slice to make up for it. They certainly have their uses and are ideal for some things but they are not the king of versatility like the ole stockman or such. ;)

I can list one one (maybe one and a half hands) the moderns I like. Good ole sebenza 21, zt 0550, the mnandi and I have a childlike fascination with OTF’s. But I do love shirogorovs. This one came in yesterday. Took me awhile to find a CF/m390 on mrbs with no fuller in the blade.

As cool as it is, it just lacks the warmth of the Dunlap.
