JohnDF and r8shell - I might try a Bugout down the road but for now I'm pretty invested in the mini-Griptilian (I have four) along with a few other Benchmades.

I don't carry a modern very often, usually as a replacement for a fixed blade when I head outdoors.

I might try a Bugout down the road

They are a super comfortable carry option.

Interesting knife. Looks like Spyderco just added their thumb hole to the Big Opera.

Here's a couple of knifemakers interpretations of fairly well known knives.
Jesper Voxnae's Nessmi from Boker. N690 and supposedly green micarta. Inspired by George Washington Sears (pen name Nessmuk) Nessmuk knife.
Custom Bailey Bradshaw Folding Bowie. Mammoth ivory, one hand opening, S30V with a Sawby Selflock. Not carried often as the top clip is sharpened and that's a no-no in my state.

I appreciate your noticing, John. I'm a traditionalist at heart, I guess, although I like many of the more modern innovations.
