Traditional and Modern pairings

much better than the Ka-Bar Dozier, in my opinion
Dozier (we are talking about Dozier Folding Hunter, right?) is good for it's very lightweight and also has a thick tip, which allows you to pick with no unfortunate aftermath. With all aforementioned, and a black blade coating, I'd say it is an ideal carry for jogging or other physical activities. From your point of view, what are the cons of Dozier?

The Brother Lockback is a solid knife. 🤠

It’s just a matter of personal taste, really. I like the thin flat grind and the longer blade on the Kiana better. Also, the Dozier’s scales have a cheaper feel to them, and I have no need for the pocket clip. I tried removing the clip, but found I needed it to grip the knife with in order to operate the thumb stud (which I don’t really need or care for, either).

Some quick specs:

Dozier 63g/2.24 oz, 3inch (7.62cm) blade - $25
Kiana 52g 1.83 oz , +/- 3-1/2inch (9cm) blade - $16

I do like my “traditionalized” Dozier, though…

Thank you John!

Wow, that's a very unusual modification! What type of wood did you used?
To be honest, I don’t remember exactly. It was on sale at the woodworking supply store near me. If I get a chance, I will dig around and find the last little bit I have - maybe it has the sticker on it.

Edit:
I’m pretty sure it was this:

Also, I have a significant chunk of it left still. Time to dream up some new projects for this winter, I guess.
