Woah what Benchmade model is that?

It is the #737 Aileron. It’s out of production. The design was I believe was based upon a pilot who wanted a knife that would meet the ergonomic needs of pilots.

Actually, there was a self-defense form of knife fighting that this knife was designed around if I recall correctly. I've seen some of the training video and it's uhhhh....whelp, it's a thing that exists. LOL

The knife would be grabbed in one hand, and the other hand would grab that "grip zone" on the sides of the blade to open it, then present it in front of them. Fairly cringe.
