Traditional and Modern pairings

That's a serious loadout my friend
As always, I'm envious of your #15EO.

Thank you Linus. Some days I have more pockets to fill so more blades seems like the obvious choice. Not pictured are the multitool and keys. I must say that the #15EO is my favorite traditional. I may even like it as much as my sheepfoot Charlow

My traditional is of course the latest Forums knife. The inexpensive big Vantage with the pocket clip, flipper, and Paperstone handles is my usual modern.

Weekend carry:

Love the Paperstone. I wish Buck and other cutlers would use it more often.

The photos looked a lot better on the mobile phone.:p

harronek, tell us more about that beautiful ribbed alox. Is that an older model Wenger?

Its a Victorinox Cadet .
I don't know how old it is , but I think someone said they where made up until the mid eighties .
It has a small pen blade instead of the nail file that the modern Cadets have , which suits me .
Its a lovely older knife , and it seems I'm quite lucky to have got it for what I paid because I thought I might try and get a few of the straight rib SAK's but after doing some searches the prices are just crazy .
I think this might be my one and only straight rib Alox :)

Here is pic of when I first got it and before I cleaned it up .
I got these two SAK's in a deal for about a third of the price that I saw a straight ribbed Alox sell for recently on the big auction site .

This pair goes most everywhere. Small fixed blade is a Busse SK.

I bought one at a small local knife shop in '87 or '88, IIRC. Sold it here and it was lost in the mail :(
