Pairing my old Camillus Army Engineers knife with a new Bulldog from Lucky Dog Knife Co. A huge thank you goes out to Lucky Dog Knife Co Lucky Dog Knife Co and David Mary David Mary for producing such an amazing fixed blade at an affordable price.

I’d been looking for a sheepsfoot fixed blade to pair with a scout pattern, but just couldn’t come up with the ANSO Sheepsfoot that I wanted. Then I ran into the ramsfoot Bulldog on the Internet, and it was love at first sight.

Really good fit and finish on the Bulldog. A nice three-finger handle that easily extends out to four with the paracord lanyard. The groove down the center of the Micarta scales helps to create a number of secure grips. The blade is something that only a traditional knife lover can truly appreciate, with an edge thickness of just .02 inches!!! The sheath is amazing in terms of both blade security and pocket retention. I’m absolutely chuffed.

The Camillus is iconic. Not much more to be said about it that I haven’t already gushed over the years. Old world craftsmanship, produced in the hundreds of thousands under military contract. Excellent fit and finish, beautiful bone covers, and a thinly ground blade.
