Those folders sound incredible! The craftsmanship on the TEW and the Ig Loubser piece really shows how much skill and attention to detail goes into custom blades. I love seeing makers put their own twist on traditional designs like tapered liners.African Buffalo Horn on both. The TEW is an exquisite folder - a description that is rare for me with Sheffield folders- it was made by a fella I know who used to work there, as was the previous MOP 2-blader yesterday.
The other is made by South African maker friend Ig Loubser (lives, works in UK now) and is the only maker I know to do tapered liners………his ingenuity and craftsmanship is off the scale.
- lovely.! Those leather-stacked Fallkniven fixed blades - all of ‘em - are just classic timeless pieces, eh.?
Great combo, lovely pic.
Yes siree!! Love the leather handle.....- lovely.! Those leather-stacked Fallkniven fixed blades - all of ‘em - are just classic timeless pieces, eh.?
Thank you! I think that Beaver configuration looks good on any knife they make. Same #88 pattern as Bison Belly, yeah. I have no idea how to use it comfortably rather than making parallel cuts with both blades open.Great combo, lovely pic.
That Beaver Tail looks a lovely folder, don’t think I’ve ever seen one this side o’ the pond. Also, it looks just like Charlie’s Bison Belly with an extra blade……..yup, gorgeous![]()
