Traditional as EDC?

In all, it's been great. The best part has probably been the folks in this forum. So many people have been really kind... the best I've met yet on BF.
 This is also one of my favorite things about this forum... Glad you've joined us!

Peter

Yeah, I think you tend to meet a nicer grade of people with traditional pocket knives, pre WW2 firearms, and traditional archery.

Carl.

Yeah. The rulers seem to come out earlier in a lot of other places. Not so much here.

I have the opposite experience. I have been carrying slipjoint for almost 20 years, mostly SAKs as it is more readily available in my corner of the world. Recently I picked up a Kershaw Leek Composite blade, this thing looks sooo sleek. I take this knife with me everyday for several weeks now, but I still don't feel right about carrying and using this knife, and I keep reaching for the classic in my key ring. Looks like I'll be back to my old favorite slipjoints, and put this Kershaw in the drawer.

Most days I carry a Leek in my back pocket and a slipjoint in my right front. I use them both, depending on what I need to do.

Still going strong with the traditional as an EDC. While some good folks here have given me some fine knives to get me started on my way to being a traditional knife nut, as oppose to one of them newfangled knife nuts, the Buck 303 has been getting the most pocket time. I have since found that my 303 is from '98. I bought a 303 for my father-in-law this Christmas, and was surprised to find some little changes. The swedge, for one, is not rounded out on the '10 version like the '98. While it isn't a big deal, it really made me appreciate my 303 even more.

I did some peeking and I know that I have a Case or two coming my way this Christmas. I'm really looking forward to them. That Bermuda Green is really calling to me.

No fair peekin', ye naughty boy!
Nonetheless, enjoy 'em!

Yeah, I put some knives on my Amazon wishlist. I didn't realize that I had it set so that I would see when someone purchased something from the list. When I checked it the other day, I noticed that the Case Canoe was gone.
