Here's a few of mine.

Left to right, top to bottom:

Dozier Arkansas Traveller & Li'l Deer Skinner
LTW Patriot, BRKT PSK, Little Creek, City Knife, Bradford Guardian 3, Esse Izula
Redmeadow Cowbell

Current favorites (subject to change without notice :p) - On the belt, Dozier Li'l Deer Skinner. In the pocket, Cowbell or Little Creek.

I wish I could discretely carry a little fixed blade, but my state only allows exposed carry.
That's how it is for me in northern California, but I'm not worried about discrete carry in my farm area.

I will also say that even though the legality may be a bit iffy, I don't obsess about keeping my belt knife completely visible and uncovered by my jacket...ect because I'm not getting into any trouble.

These are my most commonly carried ones. With the exception of the Schrade second from the left, as I gave it to my best friend. Out of these the Falkniven is probably the truest edc for me. I carry it 90% of the time,I'm lucky that in the part of North Carolina I'm in nobody really bats an eye. Even with the 119. The only other 2 fixed blades I've carried for extended periods are the Gerber Strongarm and the Buck 632 Mesa.Neither of which I consider traditional knives so I wont include them here, even though they're both great blades imho.

I carried my 119 a good deal before realizing how much more practical smaller ones were for my needs.
Nobody batted an eye around here, not even with the Ontario 498 MK2 but I only carried that one a few times just because I could.

Am happiest with a fixed blade on my belt, and there's none much better for me than these two - the small Dozier and the Crotts.

Horizontal carry allows easier use, particularly with a jacket or outer clothing of sorts draped over your belt.

The Crotts is a peach...........note to self: buy another

I was looking at these pics of horizontal carry and read what JohnDF said about open carry in his state, and I like the idea of horizontal carry, but if you cover it with a shirt or sweatshirt, can it be looked at as concealed? Is it a gray area? I have heard some police depts will interpret it very loosely to say the person is carrying a concealed weapon. Is carrying a knife clipped in the pocket considered concealed if it cannot be seen when wearing a jacket. Sorry to make a tangent.

- can’t really help you I’m afraid, I live in UK and we have more onerous restrictions than you do...!

If it’s a grey area, it’s also often down to interpretation, the temperament of the officer - should you be apprehended.

Would suggest, however, carrying a 2-1/2” blade on the outside of a belt even with a shirt or jacket over, is possibly a different story to a 4” auto inside the pocket, or indeed, an 8” Bowie that’s concealed.

The great thing I’ve found with these small fixed blade edc’s is their ease and use of carry, and that despite their smaller size, they do 90% of all tasks
