Traditional Fighting Hawk

I finished up this light and fast hawk today. Forged from an old plow spring. White ash for the handle and antiqued to look like it's from the past.

I still think you need to keep this one just because.

Raymond, I really do like this one and would love to keep it, But it was sold before I finished it. This is second one I have made lately this style. The next one I make in the near future I think is going to stay at home.

Stuart, You really do this style of tomahawk justice. It looks just the way it should. Keeping the 3rd one should be good enough. :D

When your saying "plow spring" are you meaning like a tooth on a harrow?
 
Raymond, It is what we call a gig plow. This one was a pull type with iron wheels. The spring comes down off the plow frame,makes 2 coils and them goes to the ground and the a plow point bolted to it. There was 10 of this springs on this plow. They are about 7/8 square and when straighten out yeilds about 4 ft of material.
