Here’s what’s on the back of it.


It has a model number “GG-W-113” and to the best of my knowledge it was made by Hamilton as a service knife from the Vietnam era until just before the gulf war. Mine is from Mar 1979.

I really like that! Is it hand-wound or automatic? Also, do you know the diameter? I really have a hard time wearing something over 38mm personally

It’s hand-wound, 38mm. Hamilton calls it the Khaki Field Mechanical.

When my parents gave me my Mechanical for Christmas, they said it was an automatic (I guess they were confused about which one they bought). It only worked if I wound it, of course, so I quickly figured out it wasn’t an automatic.
