Agreed, didn't know it was in MOMA though, they have taste On a functional level and in terms of handling I'm extremely pleased with my 'modest' G.David Lag in Juniper. It may not be as showy or intricate as others but the F&F is on point, no issues at all and it slices very satisfyingly, superb food prep or even eating knife where needed.

If my memory hasn’t failed me it’s the design that is in the collection, not necessarily the piece by G. David. In any event I agree with you. I find the laguiole to be the most satisfying pattern to use at the table. Not surprising considering the reputation the French have in the world of food.
An 15 cm „queue de scorpion“ Laguiole. I picked it up yesterday at Jérôme Lamic‘s Workshop. The engraving and the bee show the leaves and fruits from the Wild Service Tree, the fruits are made from 18 carat gold. The scales are made from wood of the same tree species that came from my forests.
