Could not wait to to share, I have this one coming in the near future. Au Sabot carbon steel in violet wood (?), their version of a Pradel.

Thanks,I had a hard time deciding between a stainless knife or the carbon. I have an Aurillac in stainless so I chose the carbon, also because of the blade shape and the extra steel on the ricasso (?) so when it closes the blade doesn’t make contact with the back spring and possibly hurt the edge.

The extra steel is on the "tang" and it's referred to as a "kick"; in this case it's a stovepipe kick!! Beautiful in its simplicity!! Nice score!!

This is a beautiful knife! About 5 minutes ago I posted in another thread that it's the very one I've been trying to purchase online with no luck. The closest I came was on the website brandners-homestyle.de, but during checkout there was no drop-down option to ship to the United States. If you're comfortable doing so, I'd be very interested to know where you ordered yours from.

i will PM you. I had another site for knives from France where I got my first Aurilllac but I cannot remember what it was, I will hope fully not have any problems from this other site where I got this one.
