Traditional French Fry day

I picked this knife up about 10 years ago at a local knife store. Very similar to an Opinel.

They had a counter display with a few different handle variations, I bought one with an ebony handle and this one in horn.
I believe Marjaq has since gone out of business.

I like these Marjacqs!! Too bad they went out of business; Nicely made, I like the red "ghost" in the Ebony!!

The contrast between both sides on the ebony is amazing! What kind is the clearer wood? Beech tree?

Might be; looks like it. I don't know! I got it cheap with no box and little info!!

My Pradel after some touch up from Gary, may not be able to tell but the point of the blade sits lower when closed now and smoother action. I have been EDCing it for a few days now, good slicer and decent fit and finish

Great idea for a thread Be plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks, but for now I'll confine myself to the mighty Opinel. I particularly like the smaller sizes but here's a standard in Bubinga wood. Notice stamped blade too Sandvik is an excellent everyday supersteel Avance vendredi!
