Hey we let it go, do something good with it! Very cool ideaNow you're making me feel kind of bad.
I chose that Boker because the pen blade was quite kanted and it seemed like a good project.

I don't think I squandered the knife or anything, but assumed it was lower interest and if I had known somebody would have loved it as is I would have left it alone.
There's a few left including a nice TC, and I'm sure more will find their way into the box.I'm in. I hope there is still a barlow or two left if I get another chance at the box.

I do not know about dealing with customs and shipping to Canada.Would the box be open to canada?
I believe higher post counts have typically been required in the past, but I have no objections and no problem putting your name in if nobody else minds since you are a paying member who seems to exclusively post here on the porch. Can I get in on this round?
This box cost $31.50 to get to me here in the US, and the information I found suggests that it would cost $70 or more.I havent ordered from the us for a while. I think its ok as long as its not assisted or thumb stud type knives.
Either way, it's all good. Maybe err on the side of not ruffling feathers.I believe higher post counts have typically been required in the past, but I have no objections and no problem putting your name in if nobody else minds since you are a paying member who seems to exclusively post here on the porch.
Something tells me the cost and issues will be the same shipping into the US from CanadaYeah I don’t think that sending the box internationally is a good idea. Customs is an issue, differing knife laws, shipping costs, could all be a big issue.
That is my fear. We've done international on the box in years past, but I really think that is not a good idea right now. International shipping and customs are too unpredictable out of the US (much as it galls me to ever say that). I think that the box is in dire need of culling, but not the seized by customs kind of culling.
A small box limited to just purely traditional slipjoints might be safer to ship, but right now the box has a number of knives that could easily be flagged by overzealous customs folk, even if the knives wouldn't be illegal. The big box o' knives is too easy for someone to act like it is a shipment of "weapons", and it is hard to fight that kind of decision from the far side of the planet.
