Brett I wish my Moki were in that bone type :) It's an amazingly well made knife but mine is let down by cheap Red Jigged bone :barf::grumpy: I don't dare trust anybody to rehandle it as I can't see them replicating its stellar construction....

Howdy Will! Pity about your Moki covers... have you considered dyeing them darker yourself? From what I understand, the process is fairly straight-forward and easy to do (you don't even need to remove the scales.) Might breathe new life into an old knife... :)

Hubertus fish knocker.

The scaler and knocker are auto. depress the lever and "whack" ready for action.

I don't remember seeing a thread such as this.

For the past year my interest in knives has focused on those made outside of the USA. I thought I would post what I have to date. I would be interested in seeing what you all have and info on where they are from.

Brett, thanks for starting this fascinating and informative thread!
The thread has become sort of a "wish list" for me. I wouldn't say I focus on knives from outside the USA, but my "international knives" are certainly an important component of my set of pocket knives!

Here are some of my Spanish knives that make up the bulk of my non-USA knives. (I'm not counting all the Rough Riders, Colts, Schrades, and Imperials I own that are made in China; they are essentially "American patterns" manufactured "off-shore".)

All of the preceding are inox/stainless, even though both Martinez campañas were supposed to be carbon steel.
This JJ Martinez marinera, with ABS covers, is carbono; also ordered from a Spanish website

I hope I'll be back later to post pics of some of my other international knives.

Burnt Stag you certainly live up to your name :D:D Very fine examples of unusual German knives. I particularly like the Hubertus in the first picture, fine antler on that. I have a Weidmannsheil Copperhead that has a similar mechanism. The Sheepfoot minor unlocks the Spear master when it's open. Mine has rather lacklustre so-so Stag though. Is yours a springer?

GT always like those Horn knives from Spain that you have.

Here's one from Italy and a very kind present from Scruffuk, thanks again Thom!

Burnt Stag - wonderful post good sir. Thank you for posting those.

GT Thank you posting those. I can't wait till my Taramundis arrive and yours has resparked my excitment. :)

Thanks to Jack, I have a few new ones to post.

You're welcome, Brett; thanks for starting the thread!
I didn't post a photo of this in my earlier post because I gave the knife to someone, but it should look eerily familiar to you! I bought this Palles solsonesa in a cuchilleria in Denia, Spain while visiting my daughter:
