Traditional knives vs clamshell packaging

I don't think to use a smaller blade as much as I should. I choke up on the knife and blade for more control.
That's the way to go when you don't have a smaller secondary blade for sure, and I don't always have one but also don't open clamshell packaging every day either.
Most of the times I happened to have a 2 blade knife in my pocket, but there have definitely been times when I didn't.

My favorite clamshell cutter is the beautifully thin hollow-ground sheepfoot blade on my Case 6375CV. As thin as the grind was from factory, I took the edge even thinner to make it my own.

I think I've more often been cut or scratched by the cut edges of the clamshell packaging, than being cut by the blade I used to open it (which has yet to happen). 🤞
