Traditional Knives you've had … sold 'em … and wish you hadn't

There are a couple that I regret trading away. A Amber Bone Case 6318 and a Buck 709. Both are very replaceable I just haven't got around to it yet.

I had a Case medium stockman in orange G10 that I let go at a garage sale. Had no problem with it at the time, but now I wish I still had it.

A mint Case XX era 40-64 6217 Redbone Half Hawk. It still haunts me that I sold it:mad:

This one, but knowing where it went eases any regret of letting it go

The 2011 Traditional BladeForums knife is one of my biggest regrets in selling off traditional folding knives as well. I don't know what I was thinking!

Other knives that I regret letting go of would include a few different TC Barlows, a SFO Northfield #85 Easy Open with the lanyard hole, a SFO #85 Harness Jack, and a couple of SFO Northfield #85 Easy Open Jacks. If I could, I would buy back anyone of the knives I just mentioned (especially the 2011 BladeForums Knife!).

This is really the only one I have any regrets about......that being said, I'm sure Ed is digging it. Ed, if ever you thinking about shedding.....please let me know.

That's my fan favorite on this whole thread!

Don't get me started. A couple of Case/Bose colabs. Customs and others. I think I've learned my lesson. No more selling of knives.

I never sell anything. I value my failures as much as my successes; looking at them makes it harder to achieve the same mistake twice...

It won't ever look that good again; I've been using it...

I had a nice, well worn, but not abused 1987, Buck 119, I had 20 dollars in, I let go to a friend for 25, wish I had just kept it, to throw in the truck, or BOB. It was just one of those knives I kept around for freehand sharpening practice, and playing with new stones.

There are some cutlers out there , especially Americans, who produce true works of art. How such a simple thing as a pocket knife can evolve to a thing of perfection makes me cling to life. I want to see what happens next ! Really. Go on ! Knives I had and gave away or lost, ruined, forgot or just left... that's life, knives belong to life and will fade away with it... Some people fight entropy and they are so right ! Keep on the good stuff.

Just one...

I had to sell it at the time but It is back home with its original owner. Ill find my own eventually ;)

I do not buy a knife only to sell it later on. If I liked it enough to acquire it I'm darn sure not going to dispose of it.

I kinda miss that one too, but it wasn't going to see any regular use by me, and that is just a shame.

This Schrade Walde 832 is probably the one I miss the most. I didn't sell it though, I let my son have it.
