'Traditional' knives

Dr van Nostrom - Yah. Bruce at Bullman Cutlery http://www.bullmancutlery.com/ Just shoot him an email with what you're lokkng for. Bruce is the man!!! He has come through with what I thought was impossible. He must have some sort of Queen ATS-34 cloning machine set up or something. This guy is absolute magic, as well as a great communicator.

All nice stuff! Can anyone point me to a dealer or list of makers specializing in custom traditional patterns? I've been having a difficult time coming up with more than a handful of makers. Thanks.

SPARK.....If you're reading this please.........Give those of us who visit here that
like the old "traditional" knives a fourm to enjoy. Not all of us like one hand
tactical knives that much. We enjoy knives as a hobby sure so we visit, but, we
really would like to have a "home " to vist also. In truth the "traditional"
knives represent a larger market share than all of the one hand wonders put
together. Why ignore it?? If there can be forum for urban survival there
surely is room to the "traditionalist" in this diverse group.

Lenny, thanks for the info. In the meantime, I got a red jigged bone handle 4 1/8" Henckels trapper from E-bay.
E-bay is a great source for all these "traditional" knives. Damn, it is even addictive :) Lots of Schrade, Case and several Henckels knives! I guess I am hooked.....

Whenever slip-joint discussions come up I usually ignore them "I dont own any of those" I think to myself...

But actually I am wrong, I own two slip-joints, an older Boker 4 bladed Congress style, and a Case two(i think) bladed something..not sure of the style, has bone(?) scales with a whaling scene scrimmed on them.

I dont carry either of them, so I usually forget them...

but I owe slip-joints a lot, my first 3 or 4 knives were slip-joints, and I still pine after them.
I just like the way one feels in the bottom of my pocket.
I really need to get one....even tho I am partial to one hand openers and "blactical" knives....I still have a found place in my heart for a Case Stockman...

dern it all you guys...I am broke...but now I gotta go get myself a Stockman or something similar...;)
