FWIW, according to the inflation calculator, a knife that cost $.99 in 1955 would cost $7.59 in 2007.

I can only wonder what percent inflation they are selling for now.

Well they are about 30-35 times more than the dollar knife. Should have bought that barrel back then huh. Would have made quite the investment

The 6111-1/2 L is a traditional lockback knife in the Case line. It was made only in Case's CV steel from the early days of Case until it was discontinued in 1981. These original old ones had a saber ground blade of CV with a floating guard. It has been brought back recently but only in stainless steel.

As I explain in my book, for many years (until the mid 70's) the 6111-1/2 L was the ONLY lockback pocket knife in the Case line, so collectors just called it "the lockback".
