Traditional meets Modern Snowshoe Backpacking - LOTS of Pics

Thank you for bringing a camera and taking the time to share your adventure with us. The ice formation pics are unreal!

Excellent, Bryan Andrews. Thanks for taking us along. I would also like to point out that your Leuku is just super cool. Wow. Can you post an in depth review with more pics.

I keep coming back to these pics, looks like an awesome time. I have yet to try snowshoes but I hope to some time.

4 feet of snow is definitely snowshoeing snow

Looks like you had a grand time

Traditional meets Modern
I used to use Alaskans in neoprene for flat deep snow
And I had a modern shoe for up on the Adarondaks and Green Mountains
It was made by Prager in 75, it was aluminum with a neoprene deck and seratted crampons on the bindings

awesome trip report! you should've taken a kuksa by the way instead of your titanium cup :)

Thanks guys for looking and the comments. Knowing that you guys like the pictures makes it worthwhile posting them and writing up something for here.

I have a bit of a write up on the Leuku over here.

Ha! I have one, and I didn't even think about it :) I like using it and all, but for whatever wierd reason, I like my hot drinks really hot. If they cool down too much, I won't drink them. I know the wood (or a thermal mug) will keep it hotter longer, but I can just be lazy with the thin cups and throw the cup back on the stove or fire.

Thanks again for the comments guys.
