As any of you that see my posts know I make mini/micro tools of the traditional kind as a hobby. In posting mine, I’ve seen pics here and there of the ones made by other forum members (I know you are out there). I’ve looked at anything resembling a thread for such, with no luck. So, I’d like to see what everyone has in the same vein of the items I make. Here are a few of mine to start things off! IMG_2928.jpegIMG_2320.jpegIMG_1637.jpeg

This one is a bit off the beaten track for the Traditional Forum. Moving to Gadgets and Gear.

No "like" button in "Gadgets and Gear"?

I'm pretty confident I never made a mini tool, but I used to have a set of mini pioneer tools from a local museum shop: broad axe, maul, maybe a misery-whip type crosscut saw.

I haven't made any in a couple years, but I used to make miniature knives all the time and gift them to family members.

Anyways my Aunt messaged me today asking if I can make a few of them.
She is the chairman of a committee that is doing a fundraiser to help with building a local shooting range and set up a youth training program, apparently she had mentioned the miniature knives that I make and they thought that they'd be a great thing to auction off.

It looks like I'll have to get back into making miniature knives again, at least a few of them anyways.
I will have to find out what my aunt had in mind, because I've made some with sheaths and some with wooden stands but it really all just depends on what I have laying around.

What do you use for blade stock?
Whatever I have in my old bucket-o-stuff that I can head up with a torch and forge out either mostly to shape or into a flat piece of blade stock.
20d nails, low grade bolts, pieces of an old La-Z-boy mechanism I saved, you name it.
Basically just random scrap and garbage, which thankfully there are far more options for when the item doesn't need to be a functional blade that can hold an edge.

Same here!
