Dammit Jerry! That is sooooo close to an HG-55 (at least it does currently after a few delicious 22 oz bottles of PDX IPA's)...it better be sweet to overcome the heart shattering sadness of no HG-55 ;)

Oh, and here, take my money! :D

Looking forward to seeing this! Affordable battle grade. Semi affordable but sweet Infi combat grade. All out satin Infi. Not sure which I'm hoping for. All are sounding pretty good right now

now would be a great time to add some multi color micarta tho. Would be really nice with this

This is what is happening in my head (and in photoshop):

Does anyone have a Grudge and the HG55 they can review/compare for us? Thanks!

Sorry for the crap photos. This HG55 is a MO version, so the tip is different than a lot of the other HGs. It has a dual grind (I recall reading about this somewhere), i believe convex at the tip for better penetration, and hollow along the main cutting edge. The UG is full flat grind. Neither of these ones are users (yet), so i cant say how well they perform in relationship to each other. They both feel great in hand, and have similar blades and handle contours. The HG is a bit thicker and heavier than the UG. The Jimping is also a little bit longer on the HG. The UG has an unsharpened swedge that runs most of the length of the blade and the HG has a shorter swedge along it's clip point. Both are really elegant looking knives, and some of my favorites from my stash (Ha! even though i have not used them. I have found that the 1311 or culti get used more than anything else!) Let me know if you want any more comparison shots and i can take some tomorrow.

Oh hell !!!! Here's hoping its battle grade or combat grade cause I'm screwed and will need more than one :-) lol !!!!
Been waiting for this one !!!!!

Petey must've been channeling some serious ESPN!

lots of wishing + a little reminiscing through some BOSS models + a touch of hypothesizing trying to get into the bossman's head = PURE PIGLET LUCK :o

even a wee blind piglet stumbles upon an acorn every now & then ;)

Jerry, I'll take mine with Large CBT, a bomb-proof tip, linen micarta handles.....and COMPETITION FINISH! Please, Thank You, & OINK!!!!:)
