Thanks guys ya bet! Forgot one lil detail on my theory of where the name comes from and also the design. OK so ya don't wear a belt whats preventing you from carrying a pocket knife in your pocket? I think the tag end came about because it allowed you to carry a pocket knife and still be able to get to it while wearing chaps/leggings of some kind. Reaching into your pocket to get something out, is tricky wearing leggings, (the term leggings is often used as a catch all phrase as there are many different types of chaps). Here, ya just tug on that tag end and the pouch with your knife comes right on out of the pocket and from under your leggings too. Let the pouch hang while you are using your knife and then put er away when you are done. This is my son Logan. He's bent over on this calf with his leggings on. Ya could see how tricky it might be to reach into your front pocket at this time.Very interesting my friend, thanks for taking the time to post.![]()
Ya bet!Horsewright, thanks for all the info!

You can also see how the leggings ride just below his belt so there is enough room to grab the tag end of a buckaroo pouch.

G'day porch Mates,
I am looking for some recommendations on pocket slips for knives. Preferably some nice leather options.
Thank you,
Jack
I’m sorry mate I completely missed this post.A giveaway thats allready decided
Mr Hatchet,
I forgot I had this one,I just found it in my pouches odds and ends drawer, its new.
Its got a hatchet desicn on it (viking I think) crazy horse leather or something,so I thought it might suit you.
It goes all crazy paving when you put something in it.
Fits my 86 forum knife and Viper right dandy,Boys knife 15 is a good fit to, just squeeze the sides to tip it out, so I reckon it will fit most mid size pen knives.
Its got a pen/pencil section on the side as well, thats if you diggers can write of course.
If you would like it send me your address and I will send it down under for you (from England).
