Since I have been on some of these forums, I have learned about a couple of traditional pocket knives that are specific to their country of origin and I was wondering if or how many others are out there?
So far I am aware of the following

Opinel -France
Higonokami - Japan
Swiss Army knife - Switzerland
Buck or case knives - USA
There are so many US manufacturers I just chose these 2 because they're traditional pocket knife makers.
I've think I read about a Sardinian peasant knife from Italy?
And Germany has plenty of quality knives but I count find if there was a specific knife style that was traditional

A few more:

Douk Douk - France
k55k (Ottermesser), okapi, sodbuster (Notschlachter), Svord Peasant knife (made in NZ, based on a Bavarian design) - Germany
Aitor, Pallares - Spain
Mora - Sweden
MAM - Portugal

Have a look in the traditional forum.

EKA - Swede
Entretoise and Helle - Norwegian
Enzo - Finnish
Grohmann - Canadian

Thanks for the ideas and direction. I'll search back through the traditional section. I like the style differences and want to start a collection where each knife is unique style to that country instead of being the same style knife only made in different countries.
