Traditional Shield, specific to maker?

I'm with the how is it going to stand up on a chessboard? crowd here.
I don't actually play chess but nor do I care for rudeness....even if it is from the olden days.
I do not care for this shield much either to be honest.
Let's change the name to knobbly scrotum shaped shield forthwith.
I agree with Ratbert about it looking more like a Queen chess piece. Only the bottom 10% of the shield looks like a ball sack, while the whole rest of it looks like a chess piece. I guess calling it a bollocks shows where our minds are, most of the time. :(
