• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Traditional slipjoints in movies?

I think the knife in Urban Cowboy was a Khyber, not sure I spelled it right.
Kabar imported them in the 80s. If memory serves me right that knife came in 3 sizes. They also made some lockbacks that were similar to the Buck 110 in style and also came in different sizes. A sporting goods store where I grew up carried the whole Kabar line.
They had a seperate case with the Khybers in .

In Kingdom of the Spiders a farmer is whittling with a traditional.

Also in Curse of the Swamp Creature a guy is also whittling.

I notice knives in movies pretty quick. Not always which model, just that theres a knife used.

I’ll name one movie that comes to mind.
In Ace Ventura When Nature Calls, one of the guys carving the poison darts was using a traditional folder. The movie showed him using what appeared to be a sheepsfoot blade with a patina.
