Sorry to leave so many undefined terms. Traditional means frontier style, although specific style can be flexible. I don't want something like a Vietnam tomahawk, though. I think I'm going to be limited to a factory model, my budget is something in the range of $50 to $75. If this is unrealistic, tell me.
The least expensive , no bells or whistles model that I make is twice your high end. I e-mailed a maker that used to make a great spike hawk. I'll let you know if he can help you out. Heck, come on over to the shop talk forum and learn how to make your own

JHE, DeLaRonde forge makes some that are priced in your range. Hand forged some of his higher end hawks are in the $300 range but he makes basic spike and throwing hawks for under a C note. www.delarondeforge.com
