hello guys,

i'm looking for a traditional wharncliffe folder to give my Dad but i'm not too familiar with traditional folders so that's why i'm asking :)
it would be great if i could order a custom but at the moment money is a bit short.
regarding specs, i would like it to specifically be wharncliffe and with one single blade!
if it was wharncliffe with a bit of belly would be even better but i don't recall ever seeing one so...
i would also prefer it to lock but i don't mind a slipjoint.
$100 is the max budget so i'm open to suggestions:)

Thanks:)

One wharncliffe blade, traditional, maybe locking...what about this one?

It´s your choice... the piece Fausto showed you looks really nice! I´d be glad having this one... but as sitflyer already told you, a Swayback Gent would also be a nice choice

Swayback Gent (single bladed wharnie) with Old Red Bone (Pocket worn).

It´s a great knife!

Kind regards
Andi

Here's a pocket friendly choice - Case wharncliffe mini trapper. Not real easy to find, but there are some out there.

Top knife in this photo.

I think the Swayback Gent is a superb suggestion.

Take a look at the A.G. Russell Curved Regular Jack. It's quite a bit larger than the Swayback Gent (more so in person than on paper) and it's a very well made knife if you like the size of it.

Great knives! I'll add the GEC #25, there are some with a single wharncliffe, and others with a wharncliffe and pen blades. I don't have a pic, but I just received a #25 Tidioute in Bocote with a single wharncliffe.

I love that blade shape, very handy.

There are several choices for our pricepoint, most of which have been mentioned here already. This first photo is a Case Copperhead pattern.

This is the Kinfolks Swayback Gent made by Case.

And this photo shows the Case Swayback Jack with the A G Russell Wharncliff.

All of these are good quality knives, you can't go wrong with any of them.
