Ok guys and gals: We have a watch thread, a gun thread, a totin' thread, and a modern pairing thread. I did some searching and it seems that good ol' cast iron seems to be overlooked in this forum dedicated to the old school. My cast iron collection is smaller than my knife collection, but I thought maybe there'd be some interest in the pairing...

Here's something to get started
My old Griswold number 6 (my favorite pan) paired with my douk douk (my favorite knife).

Thanks, WW. The handle on the Nicholas Nichols chef's knife is made of decking from the USS North Carolina, which was commissioned on 13 June 1940 and decommissioned on 27 June 1947.

Yeah. Nothing fancy, but they do get used a lot. Carved out of hardware store maple scraps. A maple tree came down in my neighborhood a couple of weeks ago and I took a few choice pieces from it, so I will be carving some spoons with more interesting contours soon hopefully.
