Traditionals in a sheath? Do you carry any that way?

I have a few traditionals and am known to have several blades on my person at any given time. I started carrying some of my larger traditionals in leather sheaths. I never see or read much about this.
Does anyone else do this? Do most people just carry them in their pocket?
I've found my large trappers and stockmans a bit large for my casual khaki pants pocket at work all day. No one even blinks if it's in a sheath on my hip. I even carry the large Moore Maker Trapper from time to time.
I've found that 3-1/2" is about the limit in my pocket but more importantly, the sheath method keeps my knives from getting scratched up with all the other stuff in my pockets. I've found some older sheaths, and customs, and adapted them to my style of carry and some larger folders come with sheaths like the big Moore Maker.
Here's some of my edc rotation.
Top row Left to right - The sheath is first on the left, then the knife next to it. I keep them together since the leather eventually forms around the particular knife.

The Northfield #55 Houndstooth goes in the pocket and has no sheath.

Several small slip joints carried in the pocket, Camco, Keen Kutter, Camillus, Cattaraugus, Cattaraugus, Keen Kutter, Hammer Brand
Keen Kutter Barlow

I'd like to see pics of what everyone uses to get an idea of more sheath options so I can add more knives to my collection. :D Of course, as soon as you post the next dozen I want, I'll be asking where you got it so I can get one. That info would be nice to have as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing the many traditionals too.

Almost every day I have this Case sheath on my belt.

;):)

I'll give a +1 on Primble's belt sheath. Just got one myself a short time ago and am loving it. Can't beat the price either.

This is pretty much the setup I use everyday. I always carry larger knives in a belt sheath and a smaller one in my pocket organizer. I really like the pocket organizer because it helps keep some of my pocket stuffs from going all over the place and driving me crazy. Really love my bullnose but it gets traded out for a jumbo stockman sometimes and a large trapper. Really like that Barlow you got there and the sheath next to it.

Although it probably violates some unwritten rule, I'm carrying my new Northfield #92 in a Case horizontal sheath. Fits perfectly and thus far seems more convenient than digging into the bottom of a front pocket.

A belt sheath is mandatory for me when carrying big folders, such as this Buck 110. OH

Great topic. As I just started a fledgling traditional collection, all of which I intend to use, I need accompanying leather. The smaller ones ride in a pocket slip but I need a good belt sheath for the GEC Bull Lock I just ordered. It's too big for anything but the belt.

Somewheres in the late '70's I worked for a time as a truck driver. I carried my Buck 303 in a small flapped sheath.

Aside from that, I seldom use a sheath for a traditional pocket knife, unless the knife is too large to fit comfortably in my right front pocket. These days, for me the closed length limit for carrying a traditional knife in my pocket is about 4".

I carry my Queen Mountain Man knives in a sheath. (I have both the lockback and slipjoint versions.)

And I'm in the market for a sheath for my Queen Cattle King. I've found what I want. I just haven't purchased it yet.

I generally carry a larger slippie in a DM Bullard sheath on my belt and a smaller one in my front pocket. I probably need to take a better picture of this that doesn't include my posterior, but this is all I have for now :)

Rob,

Am I correct in assuming you made your leather sheaths?? They look fantastic and you have me thinking about a new way to carry!!:);)

I've got a Case trapper sheath (vertical with button snap) that I carry some of my larger folders in. I have been meaning to pick up one of those Case horizontal sheaths for smaller knives like my GEC #15s but haven't gotten around to it. I made a pocket sheath similar to a KSF pocket sheath to keep trapper and larger size knives vertical in my pocket.

I have a Buck 112FG on my belt now in the black leather sheath it came with. A tad smaller than OH's 110. A Blind Horse Knives Classic Stallion & Surefire 9P rest in a KSF pocket sheath in my house robe every night, and after looking at these sheaths you guys have, I may want something for the 3" - 3 1/2" slippie that usually rides in my front pocket.

There are some really nice sheaths here.

Those pocket organizers are great! Nicely done Rob!

I always carry my traditionals in leather slips. It nicely distributes the weight in your pocket, makes it easier to pull out, and prevents any scratches from keys, coins, etc.

For the extra large fellas, I like to do a large pocket slip with a detachable dangler for belt or pocket carry:
