Traditionals in a sheath? Do you carry any that way?

I often use a pocket, not always though, and mainly for the larger variety like the Madison Barlow. Keeps the lint out and disperses the weight nicely.

Rob aka Redbeardo is the man. I carry one of the three of his pocket sheaths I have daily.

Belt sheaths are the only way to go in my opinion .

Ken

Very nice. Who made them?

That would be me :)
Thanks for the kind words .

Edit - I'm surprised Gary Graley ( G2 ) hasn't popped up here and shown us some real quality Traditional leather work .
I dabble in making sheaths , he excels

Ken, those are top shelf sheaths sir, your Dabbling is other peoples finest works ;)

As for me excelling, appreciate the compliment but as of late I've been slow on the mark to get anything built, apologies to those in wait right now! about the last one made was for a quite small Case Peanut, some thought it was cute, but pretty small thing to make, but it did allow access to it without having to dig in your pockets and also prevents dust bunnies from finding a new home inside the folder too :)

harronek, redbeard, and G2, do you guys have websites or a place to order some of these? All of these have me excited to try some new ones.

harronek, those are beautiful, especially the sak model. I agree with Gary, fine, fine work.

Here is the one that I use that was made by Rob, aka Redbeardo. All of my single blade knives fit in nicely and no worries about scratches and dings. :)

It fits many different belt widths too. Thanks again Rob.

I think Torri Hunter likes it too by the smile on his Bobblehead.:D

Sorry, but if I was gonna bother with a sheath, I'd carry a fixed blade. Pocket knives of 4½" and under go right in a pocket, no problem.

Cute little sheath for that Peanut, I like that a lot, good work!
I could use a few of those myself ;)

Edit:
When I first switched from modern to traditional folders the thing I missed most were pocket clips.
Fortunately there is a cool guy in Berlin/Germany who does great Letherwork and found a solution fo that problem:

Apart from that I also use pocket slips, traditional belt sheaths and somtimes even the nekkid knife in the pocket:

This thread has great pics and is giving me some ideas. Good looking traditionals and sheaths as well.

The other guys will have to answer for themselves :) but in my case I don't sell any of my sheaths .
I give them away to friends and relations .
I can honestly say to anyone here that is interested in sheaths that making your own is easier than you think .
Have a go at it , it's not hard or expensive and its a great way to spend your evenings instead of sitting in front of the TV .
