Ok summer time is here, which means more classes! I am trying not to take out more loans for the summer, so I will need to let more knives go. So if anyone is inclined to help me out I'd be much obliged! All knives have been used and sharpened by myself.

So what do I have? Well I have 4 stockmans and a smaller "pouch" knife so to say.

In the first photo on top we have a 1960's Henckels 4 inch stockman. It's model number is 1929. Slanted bolsters, amazing bark stag, great snap, and no blade play. Patina is obvious.

Under that we have a 1970's 3.5 inch Jim Bowie bark style stag stockman made by Eye Brand. Threaded bolsters, good snap, no blade play, and of course carbon steel blades.

In the second picture on top we have a 1970's (I believe) Hen and Rooster "Popcorn Stag" 4 inch stockman. Good snap, no blade play, carbon steel. I won't lie, this has the best stag I have ever purchased. Literally the stag has no smooth areas, just popcorn.

Under that we have a Schrade Walden 8OT with matchstrike pull. 4 inches, good snap, no blade play. A really solid workhorse. And of course Schrades awesome 1095.

In the third photo we have a DP Knives SGK. It has a 3.5 inch cocobolo handle with an interesting light center. It is a 3 inch convex ground drop point 1095 blade. Doug made a very solid knife here. Comes with a small kydex sheath.

Here are a few pictures.

Prices with shipping:

I prefer paypal please. First "I'll take it" gets it.

Hi there..could you please clarify..."eye brand"...this is the Solingen Eye Brand?, or the English Taylor eye Brand? thanks very much, also...could you please give a good description of the two knives Henckels and Eye Brand , has they had much sharpening?,,, everything you see is me worth knowing...ie...in your opinion..how full are the blades, gaps?, shrinkage? sharpening-as we can see they have had sharpening, but was it well done, or harshly done?
Thank you and please forgive me for asking 20 questions.
Duncan

Hey Duncan. Yes it is the German Eye Brand. I don't think Taylor was around back in the 70's though I could be wrong. As for the sharpening of the knives, I like to think I am a good sharpener. I freehand sharpen. On a 1000 and 6000 grip waterstone followed by stropping on black, green, then plain leather. So No, it was not harshly done. The blades had the one initial sharpening and from there have been stropped to stay sharp. I like to keep the blades lives as long as possible. I say they are...93% full if not more. As for shrinkage there is none in any of the knives stag, which is what I assume you are talking about. On the pile side of both knives there is an extremely small gap between the liner and the spring. No light can be seen through the gap on the Henckels and a little light can be seen on the Eye Brand. And no problem on the 20 questions. Always worth asking about.

Hi Corey,
I'm sorry I was meant to underline the fact that I wasn't asking about your sharpening, but other previous sharpening, I hope I haven't insulted you in any way, I'm sure That the Sheffield Taylor goes quite some way back, whether they were in business then or another manufacturer acquired the name I don't know.
Thank you for the prompt and very detailed response..time for thinking now..:-)
