Traditionals sure are ugly...

Ha. That title got me going.
Great selection of traditionals you have there ( big micarta fan myself ) and they really do pair up so nicely with a CRK. :D
Best bunch of guys and gals on Bladeforums all sharing the same porch. ;)

I have to say, for one just starting into slip joints, you've got quite a good collection with some great knives there!:thumb up:

Welcome to the traditional forum!

Oh, by the way, has anyone mentioned peanuts to you yet?
:D

Well I got my very first traditional in the mail yesterday! The Jim Dunlap's fit and finish is absolutely impeccable in every way. I knew it was small from the specs but wasn't expecting such a dainty knife. Perfect for the coin pocket, I love it!

No I haven't seen the peanuts or Texas Jack knives. Time to go look!

Peanuts are another small jack that don't take up much real estate in the pocket, but are very capable cutters that punch above their weight. Fit in a watch pocket, but can do most of what you need on a daily basis.

Here's my own well used and very well traveled peanut, an old Remington UMC that was made by Camillus with 1095 carbon blades and jigged delrin scales. It's been coast to coast with me, literally on long road trips, and cleaned trout in the Sierra Nevada's.

Some stunning looking knives... I am constantly looking for modern traditionals (traditional Design, modern materials) but so far no luck... I guess I should visit threads like this more often. That Dunlap is gorgeous!

Addicted? No why would you say that? They reproduce in the dark gun safe at night is all. [emoji9]

Although I've sold and traded more than I have now its been a fun 3 months since my first traditional slip joint.

Met some really cool members along the way...

I need your gun safe that reproduces pocket knives. Nicely done, wtlj.

^ You found one in Denim micarta! Nice and congrats! I've pretty much resolved to carry traditionals out in public and quite often when not in public. It just makes sense, most of the time you need a knife that slices not a prybar!
