Tradtional Knife You Have Continuously Carried Longest

For me, well...I have carried my trapper for about 4 months everyday. And for the last-ish month its been my Schrade 881. Who knows whats next.

63062 for me. one of the best ones in the Case line

That's a great knife, Bastid. Did the secondary blades start out as a spey and sheepsfoot? The left blade almost looks like a pen blade.

Last time I posted it Thawk sent me these links and I sure do appreciate them. Been a few decades since the knife looked like the ones below. It saw typical abuse that a kid gives a knife, but it made it. :D.

My longest was my OT 80T that I carried in junior high and high school as well as part of college (7 years).

I carried a Case/Ruger Pocket Hunter for just about 3 years. I think I could carry it again, or my Queen 3 1/2" Trapper every day for a year without too much problem, but why?

Vic SAK Spartan for about 6 years now :)
I use it mainly for the tools.
All the cutting is made by my Peanut or Opinel 6 ;)

If you count keychain knives, I've had the same Vic MiniChamp on my keychain for the past two years, and I have no intention of taking it off anytime soon. It's a great little tool, that has come in handy on countless occasions. I've carried a Vic Champ in my pack every day for the same time, I picked both of those up in Switzerland. But that's also cheating, because that knife's not on my person. When it comes to "right front pocket" folders, it gets harder. I carried my el-cheapo Imperial Barlow for several years when I was a kid, but that's cheating, since that was the only knife I owned at a time. Nowadays, I have my pick of "a few" really nice knives. It's rare for the same one to ride with me for more than a few days at a time, but lately my little Northfield sleeveboard has been in my pocket more often than not. I've taken a real liking to it.

I carried nothing more than an Opinel for almost a year, but ended up getting bit with the Rough Rider bug. That was about a year ago, I believe. Now that I've pretty much leveled out, this Sears/Craftsman peanut and Opinel #8 slim combo should stay put for a while.

I carried a Boker four inch four blade congress from 1970 until 1984(?), when it kind of fell apart and sadly went into the garbage can. Then an 858 OT stockman until 2005(?), which I never did really like because of the stainless blades (I have two in carbon, now, in a safe place). Since 2005 I always have an old Schrade 881 in my pocket, and usually any one or two other ones, always traditional folders. And usually a Buck alpha on my belt (Elliot, I never really said that).

It would have to these SAKs. The Champ is always in my daypack, backpack, or car, and it traveled with me to Fiji, Tonga, Peru, Guatemala, Cozumel, Hawaii, Belize, and the Yucatan, etc. The little Classics have seen years of pocket and keychain duty.

I thought that left blade looked more like it started life as a pen than a sheepsfoot, even though now the edge is in a straight line.

I won a straightrazor in the WSS forum last year and have been using it, so I liked the ad where the guy shaves with his pocketknife. I don't think I'll be doing that with a pocket knife anytime soon, though.

Well, my first moose, a CV Case I carried for almost a year, before I got my Remington 1985 'moose' Woodsman, and it was carried for about 7 months.

Currently I have been carrying my Case peanut for 8 maybe 9 months, although I did carry it off and on for 7 or 8 months before that. I can see no reason that it won't be my primary EDC for the next several years. But I test and review too many knives regularly to claim it will be the only knife I carry at any given time.

I carried a Buck 303 in the late 70's. Lost it in ~80 on a business trip (you could fly with them in your pocket, then). Then bought the replacement which I carried until ~93?
(Anymore who remembers? and who was counting at the time?)

Anyways, I carried a Buck 303 for many years.

I carried an Imperial KampKing from age 8-18. Have carried a Buck 309 "Companion" since 1977. The Buck has been in continuous carry, although it has almost always been one of 2 or 3 edc'd.

ive carried my ulster boy scout knife and case peanut the most. the scout knife of and on since i was 12. my uncle gave it to me in 2001. then for the last 4 years or so, its been a case peanut my parents gave to me for christmas.

If you count keychain knives,

Ok, if we do count them, then I've had a grey Vic Classic SD on my keychain for about 4, maybe 5 years. Probably 5, but they all run together that far back.. Longest carried, but probably the least used of any I've ever carried. Although the scissors and tweezers have been helpful at times...

I had a Gerber drop point lockback 2-3/4" OAL with abalone scales that I carried for about 10 years in the '80s. It finally worked its way through a hole in my pocket and I lost it. I was pretty poor back then, and it was the only pocket knife I owned. I'm more prosperous now and find it impossible to carry one for more than a few days a week as there are so many that are nice. Contrary to several other posts, I find myself liking larger EDCs as I get older, and now carry an Owl Head 4-1/4" sowbelly--at least when I'm wearing jeans! For dress, I go a little smaller and "prettier".

I know we're not keepin' score, but Henry, I think you are winning this one!:)
