Looks like a great day! Good on you Dad! That Apparo won't fail you. I have tested mine out extensively and it is pretty tough. I wore through the cord handle but the great thing is they knurled the steel handle underneath. Gives great gripping power. I think I am going to KG Guncoat my handle black. Nice post.
Thanks Trent, it was a great day! From what I have put the Apparo through so far, I have a lot of confidence in the knife. That's something I have said very few times about a hollow handled knife. I am going to leave the cord on mine and wrap it with the McNett cammo form to protect the cord I believe. Here I prefer to not have the metal handle exposed in the winter. The knurling is really nice though, wouldn't mind it if I still lived in the deep south.
Mist - you're doing an admirable parenting job. It's (hopefully) inherent in all good parents to give better than we received. You're setting a pretty high standard.
