I would like to think that there should be some good Filipino instructors there. Good luck in your search.

Tector: You've got Burton Richardson right in town with you. You can't do too badly there!

Burton is a very skilled filipino and JKD instructor. He has trained with Inosanto and others. I would definitely look him up!

This post appeared this week in the Eskrima Digest. Might be a good option if you like to play rough with sticks

===========================================

I am now opening a class in Hawaii, Honolulu area. This may change if
enough people convince me but the days are now Wednesdays from 6:30 to
8:30pm and Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00. Cost is $30 a month for 1
class a week and $35.00 a month for two classes. Material covered is
in both self-defense and full contact fighting applications using
double sticks, single sticks, long and short staff, stick and dagger,
dumog, panantukan(empty hands), pananjakman, knife and empty hands.
All against itself and each other. Course of the class will teach
realistic defense against realistic attacks using drills, strength
deflections, and exploration of the students questions. For the
students that want it, a third day of full contact stick fighting with
very little gear will be available. E-mail me personally or call
(808)-386-6236 for more info. First class is free. Discount is given
to group students.
