Tramontina machete question

I've seen the Tramontina Bowie. I've seen the Tramontina machete. Its it plausible to turn the machete into the Bowie? I've got a belt sander and all the stones to make it sharp after i mod it, but is it a decent thickness? I tried to locate a Tramontina Bowie online but no luck.

They're pretty thin and flex. They give the classic ring sound when whacked through the brush.

Mine are thin and flexy as well. I don't think of a bowie as having any flex.
