Is the left thumbstud removable on the Trance? It hangs up on my pocket whenever I try to clip it to my pocket.

Sorry if this is a lame faq but I couldn't find the answer on the Boker site or here.

thanks for any info.

I had the same problem with my Trance when I first got it. After about three days of carry it was no longer a problem. I think I just got used to it and it slipped back clipped to my right front pocket smooth as silk. Then I discovered that the left thumb stud made the Trance a "Wave" knife. Yes, if you put outward pressure on the Trance when drawing it from your pocket it will come out opened smooth as glass.

Thumbstud is removable. They are a set, however, both or none. Two plyers grasp firmly and twist. Heating up with hair dryer helps. Oh, you WILL scratch the finish in the process, so be prepared to sandblast them to restore the "look".

Aloha guys!

Hey thanks coop1957 and gull wing for having my back while I was "away". Also, thanks goke for your question and support. Funny ya know...I *never* had the hang up prob unless I wanted to do it, like coop1957. However, a friend of mine has the same prob only when he is wearing BDU's...

Mahalo much guys, and God bless:cool:
