This user has positive feedback and has been a member since 2011. He posted for sale a MT Socom Elite on Sunday, I sent him payment via paypal and he said he would ship the following day. Sent several emails since and has not returned any of my messages.

This is my fault, maybe should have done more research or paid him with a credit card so I could dispute the transaction. Lesson learned.

It's been 2 days. Take a breath. :)
Sometimes stuff happens and things don't go as planned. Prompt communication is always preferred once money or property is exchanged but a little patience isn't going to hurt here.

Also, do not stink up his For Sale thread with accusations. Your post was moved offline.

If you paid with paypal the way you are supposed to (not gift) you could even more easily get your money back compared to a credit card.

And yeah, 2 days is far to quick on the flame thread.

You right that makes sense and this all could be a simple misunderstanding. But you and I both know the more time that passes the less liklyhood i have of seeing the knife or my money. Couple that with the fact that i have spoken to two other people in the thread and they have had the exact same experience does not give me a good feeling...

I sent Citadel a PM with a link to this thread. Let's wait to see what he has to say.

I can see in the for sale thread that when accepting paypal he explicitly says goods only. So did you pay goods or gift?

I paid for goods. Once i paid, i screen shot that payment in an email to him and he acknowledged receipt and said he would mail the package Monday morning. I said great thanks, and he responded "Enjoy the Lords Day".

If you paid goods and he does not send it you are completely covered. There is no issue here yet. You jumped the gun starting this thread and you ignored the basic fact that if you pay goods he cannot simply take your money. Wait longer and read through paypal's buyer protection policy.

And seeing as you missed some rather big facts in your current predicament I would advise you to review the rules here at BFC as well.

:thumbdn::thumbdn: Very poor form!

Glockguy19: Member since 2015, ZERO FEEDBACK, 14 posts.

Your rash decision to post a negative thread, here in the GBU (against a reputable member), was IMO, posted way too prematurely. It's only been, two days!

To each his own, but FWIW: I've completed quite a few transactions here, & I've NEVER, posted a negative thread here in the GBU. Sometimes, you just need to take a chill pill & be patient...& sometimes, it's better to put things into perspective before picking a battle.

Citadel, & I, shared a few PM's, via this same thread (regarding the MT Socom Elite CF). Citadel, was polite, & seemed a to be a very professional member, in his communication. My $$$ is on Citadel; that he will take care of business & ship you off your Elite...if it's the CF model, & you no longer want it- please send me a PM, & I'll take it.

Good luck, & hopefully your error, will be a learning tool.

I hope both of you are correct. That my actions here are premature and he simply got sidetracked. If that is the case I will offer an apology, post postive feedback and ask any negative posts to be removed.

Kelma were you ever new here? I am guessing you did a transaction for the first time once as well. Just because I am the new guy on the block does not put me in the wrong. But again, he has postitive feedback as a seller from TWO people, so he must be legit right?

Funny this was my exact same experience with him as well. And once he got my $ he has ignored all communications (as well as 2 other members).

Again, hope I am wrong. I have purchased many items on other forums and have never had an experience like this where someone states what they are going to do and fails to follow through.

"PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE"

It's been only 2 days! I personally would've waited, or contacted a Moderator, on how to proceed...& yes, I was new here once...& I still :foot: from time to time. ;)

This is the way that I look at this situation: Citadel, was selling a quite a few very nice knives- somewhere in the $2000+ range. Perhaps he's had a family emergency, vet emergency, or something else extremely important came up?

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ersons-and-ZT-s-Big-Sale!!!?highlight=citadel

Furthermore, I would edit the title of your thread, at least until a reasonable amount of time has passed, or you receive answers. Defaming an otherwise honest, 100% successful member here, is not cool!

Good luck with your blade and a resolve
a few rulz to live by in here
If there is a "LEGITIMATE" concern ..lets say no word and many
days or emails-PMs not responded to..
GET a moderator involved ""FIRST"
I see a pattern of new folks..simply coming in here to publically
vent rather than act as an adult and try to take breath--follow protocal
and know that the folks that have positive feedback got that for a REASON...
2 Days is NOT a reason too freak..Things happen..emergencies--a job working you
too death etc..Often..OH lets say 98% of the time these premature posts work them
selves out..AND teach the poster a valuable lesson...
You can get things resolved by doing the adult thing..Emails..PMs etc..Rather
than come here and not only shed some light on the way this has been improperly handled..BUT
perhaps..Place an unpleasant taste in the mouth of the seller..and any potential future dealing with
himself..LET alone others that may read this..
I will speak for myself of course..
Hoping this works out for you both..

We were all new here once. I like many many others have never posted a flame thread like this even though every transaction was not the most smooth. Being new is no excuse for a thread here after only 2 days or not knowing how paypal works or for not reading the BFC rules.

Hope everything works out for the accused.

So much for GB&U being a last resort after all else fails.

I cannot even lick a stamp in two days!!!!
