hi guys
a friend of mine has a khukuri
he got from the treasure trove from nepal
and requires a translation from the writing on the spine
if any one can help that would be great many thanks

^^^ what Yangdu said. Have you checked out IKRHS.com and Swordforum.com's Antique Kukri Forums? Folks there are discussing these spine inscriptions on similar old khukuris in minute detail, lots of background material in there.

but so far nothing yangdu is it possible to have the translation into english
as far as is possible

The table of battalions of the Royal Nepalese Army contained in the appendix to Guns of the Gurkhas by John Walter shows the Ka: Wa: mark as an abbreviation for the Kali Bahadur Battalion. It isn't clear whether the number refers to the kukri or to the soldier to whom it was issued.
