Denis,
I can't help you with the shipping time-frame but I can help you with the your CC dilemma. If you want to know when it will be charged call them, have them pull the invoice and charge your cc right now. You won't get it any more rapidly but you will know exactly when you will see the charge.

I hope this helps
:D:D

Thanks Eric, looks like that's probably what I'll have to do. Getting the knife isn't the problem, it's the CC timing that's the concern.
Still enjoying that DR, it goes with me on backcountry trips in the Rhino now. Good knife & good size to have along.

I think I can explain why you are confused. I think they have all the INFI they need so it is not as if you are in a drive through waiting for a burger while they go out and slaughter a cow and make you one. The steel that will eventually be your knife goes into production along with others that were ordered in sequence with yours as soon as there is room on the machinery and furnaces. The reason you feel like you are getting mixed signals is that because the production any given model is going to run over other ordering periods. The FSH was available from Mid October through...well now. It appears many Force One's and NARKs (available in August) have shipped in large numbers and we are starting to see a trickle of the Leaner/Meaner Streets which were ordered in September and into the first half of October. 4 to 8 weeks later the Fusion Steel Heart with be making its Post Office debut.

If you want to try to read the tea leaves to figure out your knife's status. Try to get a fix on what knives are currently shipping and get a feel for how many people here seem to have that "glow" one gets after receiving a fine blade. Then figure out where that blade fits into the Busse Knife Ordering Season Calendar. Either way it is 12 - 16 weeks on any knife from the date it was ordered. Make it 16 in this case.

The fact that cutting/grinding/heating etc does not begin until after the ordering period ends (or until "all orders are received") is just incidental and is caused by a back log of the previous months offering. For the people at the shop who take the orders...it is going to be the case that production does not start until all orders are taken.

Or call the shop again. I understand why you want to know, and again admire the discipline.

I just take Jerry's word...plus or minus 2 weeks.
