I'm dying to find some sexy scales for my normal bugout. I really like translucent things...
I got a cheap "supposedly" ultem scales set and the stuff cracked so easily at the screw holes. I did not over tighten them. not sure if real ultem would fare better? or if the stiffness makes them prone to crack when dropped. as that may happen now and then.
I don't mind the grivory handles at all btw functionally.
flytanium has an opal g10 but I can't tell how translucent it looks. alliexpress has some translucent acrylic scales... I love the look, but similar concern. would acrylic be more likely to crack or break?
any other materials or scales anyone is aware of? if I had my choice it would be g10 or grivory (but I don't think grivory can be translucent).
doesn't have to be full translucent, but I dig the see through qualities and like colors that are neon like translucent green, yellow, blue plastic sometimes are.
