transport (of khukuris) between Nepal & India (couriers, etc.)

Does anyone know of any good courier services between Nepal & India (from Nepal to india) - for the purpose of transporting H.I. khukuris?

Dunno... I can only go by the commercials on TV :rolleyes: . Fed ex and UPS. I guess the larger ones would have offices in both countries.

I've received shipments from Nepal VIA DHL, Fed Ex and I think UPS also. All arrived in perfect condition.
 
Thanks for the input - I was wondering particularly though about receiving in India from Nepal - any experiences/advice?

Just returned from India (Mumbai) and used FEDEX to send stuff INTO India as well as OUT of India, no problems either direction between the USA and EU and decent rates....don't know about between India and Nepal specifically, might depend on the "from" and "to" and "what"?
I have carried HI khuks into India in my luggage without incident, never shipped one; I know other who have used local postal service and local couriers and lost everything
The Big 3 seem to have the security and customs thing down pat,

My friends in India who ship back and forth a lot swear by DHL but also have not experienced problems with UPS or FEDEX.

I want to order some HI khukuris for my upcoming wedding in January (in India).

Uncle Bill had said there were probelms with shipping to India, so I was trying to figure out something.
