TRAPPER TUESDAY

Quality quintet of trappers, Dave!:cool::thumbsup:
I'm a big fan of the slimline trappers from Case, and I know almost nothing about Battle-axe knives.
I was going to ask you what the middle knife was, but your next post revealed the info I desired!:cool::thumbsup:

My trapper for this Tuesday is one of the 12 Rough Riders I ordered as a set as my introduction to RR back in about April 2014. This one is a one-armed trapper.

Thanks, G! I don’t carry a trapper enough…
I rarely carry full-size 2-blade trappers; they seem too big for pocket carry. Maybe I should carry them in my coat in the winter.
But I like carrying a slimline trapper, and medium (or, for Case, mini) trappers are splendid.

The trapper I'll post this Tuesday is a Rough Rider smooth tobacco bone locking trapper whose color is outstanding (thanks, Todd):

This Rough Rider medium trapper (same size as Case mini trapper) is my first ever medium trapper. It was one of the set of 12 amber jigged bone RRs I ordered in 2014 as an introduction to RRs and to a bunch of patterns with which I had no experience. I learned that I had a strong preference for carrying a medium trapper over a full-sized trapper, a preference that still exists for me almost a dozen years later.

I had wanted a Full Sized Wharncliffe Trapper for a long time and last April I was finally able to get one . Case did a great job with this one .

I had the same experience a couple of years ago. I ordered a bonestag Wharncliffe trapper online and it is outstanding! Mine resides in a Case trapper belt sheath and gets a lot of use slicing homemade sourdough bread. (Also have a matching bonestag Wharncliffe mini trapper, makes a nice set.)
