TRAPPER TUESDAY

It's nice to see all the Love for Case Knives. 🤠
The company takes a lot of heat here for their little Fin n Finish issues, but to me they are classics, wonderful, and a great value... kinda the way pocket knives should be as far as I'm concerned. They aren't high-end artful pieces, although some are downright gorgeous, they are a good tool to use every day.

Got this one out of a Case display box at the
local Ace Hardware some years back…

Sadly they don’t sell knives there any more
Isn't it sad how few hardware stores sell knives any more? Glad you got a good one before your store dropped them!:cool::thumbsup:
When I decided to start carrying a pocket knife again in 2014, after not carrying one since 1969, I thought I'd run out to a couple of local hardware stores to check out their selections. Man, was I surprised that the first half dozen stores I checked (which meant I was getting beyond what I'd call "local") had nothing but box cutters and maybe Leatherman-style multitools with a blade.

(I have a big jar of Working Hands like that, and I'm still using it daily in May! Now that I'm a geezer, I apparently have no natural moisturizers inside me, and the backs of my hands are like corncobs just from walking around without gloves in 50 degree weather.)

When I was a kid there was Virginia Hardware in Arlington, they had either a Case
or Buck display (can’t remember which).
That place had been there forever and was so packed with stuff that you HAD to ask one of the old gents in there for help, and guess what? They always knew what I was talking about and usually had it there for me. Try that at Home Depot!

There’s a hardware store by my daughters college in southwestern VA that’s a Case master dealer. I keep meaning to go in there and look around but haven’t stopped yet.

The working hands has really worked well for me too, no more fingers cracked open all winter!

Highland Hardware in Cookville, TN has an entire room devoted to knives. Mostly Case/Buck/Benchmade with a smattering of others like Boker and Victorinox. Old time hardware store that's still in business

Not a supporting dealer, but other than a Facebook page they don't have an internet presence that I know of, so hopefully this is ok 🤞
