Trapping resources?

...Pardon the amateurness of these questions, but I'm... an amateur, and a lot of the regulations cant be easily deduced with common sense.

I believe this is pretty universal between our two countries. A lot of it is written in hard to understand legalese, and the regulation "guides" are written in equally hard to pin down plain talk. Then they tell you that the regulations supercede the guides. But the regs are kept in huge books in the State Capitols. You can go there and read them if you want, or you can go by the guide and the discretion of the particular officer who cites you for infractions. Here, posession of a killing device (gun, bow, fishing rod or net, snare or trap) in game habitat is evidence that you intend to use it. The game wardens have regular police powers and can search and sieze, ticket and arrest.
