Travel Case Ideas

Many good choices and smart kit in this thread.

I'm a tool bag fan. Tool bags with a wide opening top are very suitable, particularly if the outside has smaller pockets for folders, multi-tools and the like. Figure out what the largest knife is that you would have in the bag, measure it, then take a stroll through the tool bag section at Home Depot or similar store and you will find something suitable.

B&B, that’s what I was using but the 9 didn’t fit well and the 21 didn’t fit. I hope to someday get my mits on a 20 and that would probably be problematic too.
Apologies. I didn't read to the part about about the wrench roll.
I'm actually having a razor roll made locally to my specifications. I'm using a decorative upholstery fabric for the outside and flannel for the liner. I'll probably use VCI paper or tabs slipped in the pockets to help prevent rust. I'm sure the ideas mentioned already would work well, but I just thought it was worth mentioning. Of course sturdier materials like canvas could be used to make it purely utilitarian.

Here is the first one they made. The next one will have 1/2" deeper pockets and paracord instead of latigo leather string.

B&B, that’s really beautiful. I totally dig the decorative fabric interior.

Please post pics when you get your new roll.

Ive been using OD green canvas bags. Rothco made styled after the old military surplus tool bags. Good quality and cheap, many sizes available.

Thanks! I gave them a different color fabric so the next one will look a bit different. I would love to have one made of leather, but I doubt their machines would be able to stitch the thick bridle leather I have.
