  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Travel Channel Andrew Zimmnern, host of Bizarre Foods visited me today

Congratulations-That looks pretty darn tasty. I am glad I didn't see this earlier or I would be driving out in the storm to get some ribs

These were enjoyed tonight watching some Football and fights.

MMMMM meat.... I think we need a road trip GTG, and I think I know where we could have it:D. BBQ and Sebenza's what else is there.

Congrats that is really cool.

I think Andrew is a knife guy - did the conversation turn to knives at any point?

Was he packing?

Great story - I can't wait to see the episode either.

Congratulations! I'm going to watch that episode, please give us a heads up when it gets close to broadcast day!

Great story BBQ! Thanks for sharing and congratulations.

Be sure to give us a heads up in march.;)

Nice one.

I'd love to try food like that one day, looks interesting.

Hopefully you get some business out of it.
From reading your posts it sounds like you deserve it.

Mmmmm barbeque... Thats awesome that Andrew Zimmern came to your restaurant man, I watch his and Anthony Bourdain's shows quite a bit.

Just as a fun fact: You'd never know it but in his early years Zimmern had a nasty herion addiction and lived on the streets of New York city. He would supply his drug habit by steeling purses from ladies and selling their credit cards. He's a true story of survival and how anyone can change their life around no matter how rough it gets. I look at him as a true inspiration.

I didn't know Zimmern was a smaker but I knew Bourdain was. There seems to be something about TV chefs and "indulgences". My favorite TV chef and probably favorite TV person in general, Keith Floyd was well know for his excessive drinking and the like.

That's a interesting tid bit. Being in the food industry for 23 years ihave come to learn that culinary people are the craziest SOB's out there. Tattoos, drugs and drinking. Me, I'm cleaner than a man dueching for a prostate exam.

Andrew's quite a character, isn't he? My ex worked with him 14 years ago at a upscale cooking store, where he gave demonstrations. He was our chef at our wedding dinner. The salmon was under cooked:p

Can't wait to see your episode!

That is awesome. My wife follows his blog and I do like his show. He ate at one of the restaurants we went to in Ethiopia.

Barry, that is an awesome story too buddy.

Congrats! One thing I've noticed with food shows is that once a restaurant has been featured then every other show also likes to cover the same place. You should be getting much more exposure! i wouldn't be surprised if Anthony Bourdain stopped by someday.
