Traveling to Canada be careful their Customs might take your knives.

Glad i posted what i read in August Blade Magazine, and i never said anything inregards to Canada's knife laws i said Customs.
also glad no one has yet reported having their folder knives taken from them, and glad some Mfg's are able to ship their folder knives into Canada.

As for the NRA i just updated my membership, i stand with the NRA, i don't stand with that paid for bunch of anti-firearm Moms against gun violence.

If you go on ZT’s website for instance you will see many models that just last year shipped to Canada no problem now say “will not ship to Canada”.

And yet, as I stated, ZT does still ship to Canada. Just not those specific models. There's nothing on their website that states they have discontinued all shipments to Canada.

If you're in business, and someone hinders your trade, you either modify your business or seek legal recourse. I expect those companies involved will do both.

The best solution to the problem is just don't go to Canada. They don't want you as a visitor and they really have little to see or do that you can't see or do in the good old USA. So fooey on them!

Bah humbug on those who support Canada's gun and knife regulations. No reason to ever ever go to Canada. With good old USA, and Alaska and Hawaii there are plenty of nice places to visit without having to worry about ending up in a Canadian jail.

I'm still getting flipper knives in and CBSA has opened and inspected them and still cleared em. I hope to never have problems but have noticed aslong as they can nail me for duty on em they will still get to me

Other than the laws in Canada, and the fact that it's run by Liberals, I don't have any bad things to say about it.

Considering I can buy a 12 inch barrel shotgun non-restricted and have it delivered in the mail, I have nothing bad to say about this great country. :)
It is truly one of life's great pleasures to get the call that Canada Post is here, and get a 12 inch barrel, side-by-side 12 gauge handed to you.

The fact that you are crabby about the nation tells me that you have not experienced this joy.
You really need to do so. ;)

I don't own any firearms or have a license for it, so it doesn't apply to me. But I do order knives and other things, and pick them up of at the nearest Post Office, just like you do.

You really need that firearms licence.
Even if you skip handguns due to annoying laws, short barrel shotguns are a blast.
And the ability to get them hassle-free is one area we beat the States when it comes to guns. ;)
First time I took it to the range, I had a huge smile on my face (and a terribly bruised shoulder from all the buckshot and slugs' recoil).

And it sure makes skeet shooting more challenging! :D

There is quite a selection of them between $190 to $400 Canadian. You get more expensive ones (naturally), but you can find some fun ones in that price range.

Hmmm...did I just change this thread to "Travelling to the USA? Be careful; their Customs may take your short barrel shotgun"?
Well crossing any international border with a weapon is going to require some homework? Is a knife a weapon? To a lot of folks they insist no but to any sort of law enforcement officer they look at the potential use and so yes a knife may be a weapon.

US border guards have asked me many times if I"m carrying weapons. Must be the tactical T-shirts and blood diamond pants I tend to wear. They just don't seem to appreciate tooled up Canadians crossing the border ready for mayhem.

That reality show Border Security really gives you a good look inside their heads for both countries. They may focus on drugs, money and sausage seizures but if a US customs or a CBSA officer finds a knife in someone's pocket they speak the same language.

I would definitely enjoy the sport, but it's a pricey one to be in, and doesn't have much use unless your a hunter.
